Christmas is Sooo Close | Photoshop Classes

Without fail near all conversations at the moment included “I cannot believe  where the year has gone, it will be Christmas before we know it”

Well I hate to point it out again -but serious Christmas is so close…  We are holding our last group workshop today for 2011 and have a few 1:1 remaining.  It has been a great year thus far – thank you… Next year looks to be as good – we are taking bookings for Jan 2012 – 1:1 or small group workshops during the holidays – days are limited though…

We have had a few requests for play days – when we get together and go and shoot, or hover over the computer and ask questions re photoshop, downloading – more like a 20 questions session – if you are interested – shoot us an email with what you’d love to ask/see on the day…

Stay tuned for a few Christmas Ideas coming over the next couple of days.

We would like to apologise for all the ickiness going on with our Website and Blog -we were hacked – hacked so bad that we no longer have a website  - it had to be deleted off the server and our blog is now corrupt.

We are rebuilding from the ground up…  For all upcoming Point Shoot Play Class information and products – please “like” our Point Shoot Play Facebook Page – we will be updating regularly via Facebook until the site and blog have been rebuilt.

Meloo Photography is also under going a ‘mini facelift’ and will have it’s own blog very soon… Lots going on – we have had to all shoots from last year recovered due to the hack as well – so happy to be able to have all our images back safe and sound (i have included a few of my faves) To be kept in the loop with all Meloo Session info and to view all our recent work – please “like” our Meloo Photography Page on Facebook

Once all is back to normal we will be thanking you with a few awesome gifts…

With the school side of 2011 starting today, I remember back to 2004 when we where NEW in Qld,by 7 months, in a new home, new jobs and our eldest was starting Year 1…

Fast forward to 2011, we are on a new journey – First Year of High School..

If I was better a putting my emotions to words I would…  Instead I will share with you a journey of First Days of School for our now Young Man – to say that we are proud would be a understatement…

Our City Brisbane and the Fighting Spirit of QLD

I was hoping to start the New Year back with a post on Monday just gone with an adorable Newborn session I had and a mention of up coming classes that we have.

Come Monday afternoon with the news and footage of Toowoomba and surrounds, calls and emails to family, friends and clients to ensure their safety took front seat.

Tuesday and came, like others in Brisbane we went on with our normal day’s activities, with the rain not letting up, we knew something wasn’t right.  Kids collected from vacation care early, before the roads where closed and the creek beds broke.

Over the next few days we watch with aches in our hearts as Mother Nature, once again reminded us that we are not in control.  The people of Brisbane, QLD and the nation have set upped – so many have lost so much.

High School | Where Did the Time Go?

Always having a camera with me or in my hand for work, makes me miss shooting for me…

In 2010, I gave myself a goal, I was to embark on a personal project and have completed for Christmas…

I am shooting a property that has fond memories and history  for my family in particular for my father…  I was to start shooting in June , I didn’t get there to early October – the wait was well worth it.

I need to go back and continue shooting, I have yet to confirm what editing style I will use for the entire project, I am enjoying the process of elimination though…I may have the project  completed for Christmas, but i am enjoying the ride.

As I predominately  photograph children, teens and families, to shoot landscape and buildings is taking me completely out of my comfort zone – all I can say is do it…

This is one of may faves so far -the best thing about this project, is it is for -so if no one likes it is ok – it’s not for them…
